Set back from the main Ring of Kerry road, Derrynane Bay House, a meticulously maintained home is in an elevated position with panoramic views over Derrynane Bay.

The picturesque village of Caherdaniel with it's traditional pubs and excellent restaurants, is situated at the foothills of the Magillicuddy Reeks on one of the most beautiful coastlines in Ireland well known for it's beauty and temperate climate, virtually tropical at times due to the proximity of the Gulf Stream.
For the visitor, the choices are numerous. Hill walking, abseiling, horse-riding, deep sea diving to some of the best sites in western Europe, windsurfing, water skiing, sea and lake fishing are all available locally. Daily boat trips are run to the famous Skellig Islands with their ancient remains of sixth century monastic life and fascinating bird life, and many visitors describe this as the high point of their holiday. For the golfing enthusiast, there is the world renowned championship 18 hole course at nearby Waterville or the picturesque 12-hole course at Parknasilla. The ancestral home of the great Liberator Daniel O'Connell, at Derrynane, which contains many relics of his life and career, is situated close to the village on 120 hectares of parklands incorporating sheltered gardens and 1.5 km of coastline and is open to the public.
