The Peacock Inn is situated just outside of Newnham Bridge and Tenbury Wells in the beautiful county of Worcestershire. Our inn serves magnificent food and high quality drinks along with beautifully appointed bedrooms making it a great base for those visiting the area.
We have three charming bedrooms all are en suite and kitted out in style and comfort for total relaxation.
Our chef Jean has built up valued relationships with local producers. He favours meat, fish, fruit and vegetables from the best independent butchers and growers. His menu changes to take account of the best daily and seasonal ingredients at the market (locals even buy their fish from him!)
The Peacock features a splendid choice of real ales - there aren't too many places that can offer everything from a half pint of Hobson's Town Crier (local real ale) to a bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal champagne.
Tenbury is a small ancient market town with picturesque 17th Century half timbered buildings scattered throughout Tenbury Wells, surrounded by the unspoilt countryside of the Teme Valley just waiting to be explored. There are plenty of sights to see including the distinctive Pump Rooms built in 1862, the historic St Mary’s Church with its Norman tower and well preserved Acton Tombs and the stunning Burford House Gardens. Not to mention the Round Market which, with market days on Tuesday and Friday, is still one of the best places to sample local produce.
