Description

Stanton House is a luxury bed and breakfast that is nestled amongst the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and only a short walk from the centre of Staunton-on-Arrow near Leominster. Our B&B dates back to the 19th Century and is a perfect retreat for those who are looking for a relaxing break away.

For over 9 years we have provided guests with luxurious B&B accommodation. Our guest rooms are large and airy with every home comfort you may need. The B&B rooms include:

En suite facilities.
TV with Freeview.
Refreshments tray.

Complimentary toiletries.
Complimentary mineral water.
Information folders.

A hearty breakfast is available each morning and is served in our dining room. Fresh fruit and cereals are available. Wherever possible we use local produce and our own kitchen garden provides fresh vegetables for those enjoying our 3 course dinner. Our 3 course dinner is available on request.

The house and extensive gardens are situated in an area of 3 acres and the accommodation boasts a heated swimming pool, summerhouse and astroturf tennis court behind a walled garden.

If you're a fan of rural countryside, we are an ideal place to stay and you may wish to walk and explore The Marches, Offa's Dyke, National Trust properties and Herefordshire's many historic castles and churches. In particular, Hereford Cathedral and its Mappa Mundi and unique Chained Library.

Close by is the Georgian town of Ludlow which is renowned for its famous restaurants and medieval castle. 16 miles away is Hay-on-Wye, nestling under the foothills of the Black Mountains and internationally known for it Literary Festival, which takes place in May.

For those interested in golf, the highest golf course in England is just seven miles away at Kington, where it is possible to see five counties on a fine day. Day tickets to fish approximately ten miles of the local rivers, Lugg and Arrow, for Brown Trout and Grayling can be acquired nearby. Further afield, through the Wye and Usk Foundation, guests can obtain access to these two famous rivers for coarse and game fishing.
