Rhydspence Inn offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the pretty village of Rhydspence in Herefordshire. Our 14th Century country house is situated close to Whitney-on-Wye on the Welsh border of the Wye Valley. We enjoy magnificent views of the Welsh hills and picturesque Herefordshire countryside.
All the guest rooms are different; all have their own en suite bathroom and toilet. The bedrooms follow the pattern, traditional and spacious or half-timbered and quaint.
It is the perfect place to meet, relax and catch up with friends old and new. Guests can relax in the cosy lounge around an open log fire whilst enjoying the beautiful panoramic views. Treat it as your own country home, or be our guest as we serve you in the 14th century bar.
Our award winning breakfasts are served in the Drovers Kitchen and are guaranteed to prepare you for a day of exploring the local area.
Alternatively you can enjoy the landscaped terraces and gardens that make the outside of the Rhydspence as attractive and a relaxing place to be as the inside. Enjoy a drink whilst listening to the bird song and appreciating the good fortune we have living in this particular corner of this green and pleasant land.
The Central Beacons is the highest mountain range in southern Britain. Many walkers make for the famous twin summits of Pen-y-Fan and Corn Du for challenge and adventure.
On a clear night you can see the Milky Way, major constellations, bright nebulas and even meteor showers. The Brecon Beacons have some of the highest quality dark skies in the whole of the UK.
