The Samuel Fox

Bradwell, Derbyshire, Hope Valley

The Samuel Fox at Bradwell in the picturesque Hope Valley is a country inn serving traditional and contemporary cuisine, using local, fresh ingredients and home made produce. It’s a great base for those wishing to explore Derbyshire’s many attractions.

All the guest bedrooms at the inn are individually designed, with tasteful décor, fine fabrics and furnishings, artwork and books. All of the rooms are deluxe doubles, with en suite bathrooms. They have at least 26” flat screen televisions, internet access and coffee and tea making facilities.

The linked restaurant and bar affords the inn a sense of space and light, which is further enhanced by the large windows, providing customers with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. Tasteful décor and in the winter blazing log fires imbue a rustic charm, combined with a very genuine welcome and excellent customer service, that provides a sense of old fashioned hospitality to make everyone feel right at home.

Whether you want a quiet drink with friends, perhaps a tempting snack from our blackboard menu or take a table in the restaurant and select from our mouth watering lunch and dinner à la carte menus you may be sure of the warmest of welcomes from the Samuel Fox team.

The village of Bradwell in the Hope Valley is at the heart of an area rich in natural beauty, history and heritage. The inn is within easy reach of Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall, Peveril Castle and many other English Heritage and National Trust sites and is also close to the beautiful villages of Castleton, Bakewell, Matlock and the larger spa town of Buxton, with its famous waters and opera house.
