The Old Farmhouse in Cheveley, Newmarket in Suffolk, provides glorious guesthouse accommodation in a charming village. We are just a stone’s throw away from Icknield Way, making us the perfect base from which to explore the local area.
The Old Farmhouse offers bed and breakfast in a comfortable family home situated in the pleasant Suffolk village of Cheveley, three miles from the racing town of Newmarket where there is an excellent golf course, state of the art gyms, two night clubs and countless pubs and restaurants.
The guest wing at the Old Farmhouse has two guest bedrooms that have beams and sloping floors. Both have their own full facilities (including hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities), and either en suite or private bathroom. Both bedrooms are south facing and look out over the sunny terrace at the back of the house.
Our bed and breakfast offers a big open fireplace in the guest sitting room. The room is furnished with antiques and guests enjoy relaxing in the comfortable chairs.
Breakfast is served at the old oak refectory table in the dining room in the winter and in the summer meals are served on the sunny terrace. Please ask if you need to have breakfast served at a different time and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.
We can offer you superb French cuisine sourced from only the best local and seasonal produce including home-grown vegetables, fruit and herbs from our cottage garden. All of our food is prepared in the Old Farmhouse's kitchen by Anne Mary who is a professionally trained chef.
