Chiltern House is a lovely Victorian terraced property that offers luxurious B&B accommodation in Pakefield, a pretty village just outside of Lowerstoft in Suffolk. Pakefield is the perfect base for those who are looking for a relaxing break away and there are many wonderful walks starting from the front door of our B&B.
There are 4 beautiful and luxurious guest rooms at our B&B, each of which has been individually decorated and furnished to provide comfortable accommodation while exploring Suffolk. Our Claremont Room is a double/twin room, Jubilee is a double room located to the rear of the property & is a lovely quiet room and the Wellington Room is a large double room, perfect for a romantic weekend away. Our final guest room is the Kensington Suite, which is located in the eaves of the house and is perfect for families. There is a double & a single bedroom along with a large airy bathroom.

There is a fridge on the landing with fresh milk and bottles of cold water for guests to help themselves to and also to store any foods or drink. There are plenty of books to borrow and read or swap. There is local information on display. There is a guest cupboard where you will find an iron and ironing board, extra tea bags, coffees, sugar etc if needed, buckets & spades for use on the beach along with tennis rackets for the more energetic.
Breakfast is served in our dining room between 8am - 9.45am each morning. An earlier breakfast can be served with prior arrangement. As well as a selection of cooked options, we also have a wide selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit & juices are available along with various teas of your choice.
Nearby Lowestoft is a popular destination for tourists. There are parts of the town that date back to the 1500's and many wonderful old scores and narrow thoroughfares that are home to an array of shops and cafes. The beach at Lowestoft is safe for bathing and has golden blue sands along with a Blue Flag Award. The Victorian front gardens, the Royal plain fountains, 2 piers and many heritage walks, makes this a popular place to visit that all ages will enjoy.
