The garden itself features regularly in Sudbury’s Open Gardens scheme and has won first prize as best Organic Garden of the Year in the town’s Sudbury in Bloom competition. The garden is also part of the Quiet Garden Trust, which means that it can be used by visitors for quiet reflection and meditation. The overriding atmosphere of the garden is one of peace and tranquillity.
Sudbury itself is an ancient market town with many very old buildings, including three splendid medieval churches and a number of houses dating back to Tudor times.
