The Cricketers Arms offers guest accommodation located in the village in Rickling Green, Saffron Walden in Essex. The Cricketers' Arms is an authentic 18th Century inn restored to modern standards without losing any of its period charm.
The inn overlooks the famous old cricket pitch at Rickling Green, a
classically calm and beautiful English village on the borders of Essex and Cambridgeshire - only eight miles from rapidly expanding Stansted Airport but a world away from any noise, hustle or bustle.
In fact, a visit to The Cricketers Arms brings you the best of every world – whether it's a quick drink in the real ale bar, a top-class dinner in one of two superb country dining restaurants, or an overnight stop in one of the beautifully refurbished bedrooms.
Every one of our 9 rooms has an en suite bathroom, free-to-view satellite TV, together with the luxurious feel of an exclusive retreat - topped off by our stunning honeymoon suite with perfect views of the cricket green and village. We have a range of double, superior and suites available and our twin guest rooms can also be set up as doubles for those who require them. The style marries colonial flourishes with sleek modernism, from the hand-made English beds and linen to the polished chrome and porcelain fittings in the bathrooms. And after a restful night in these tasteful surroundings, a delicious full English or Continental breakfast is waiting for you downstairs in our welcoming restaurants - newspapers and coffee on hand.
Our on-call taxi service to Stansted Airport means that you can leave your car at the Cricketers' while you spend a few days abroad on business or at leisure.
