The Alexander is run by Mr and Mrs Beesley-Schuster from their family home, a Victorian house located in a quiet residential area of central Cambridge. Their extremely central location, near the city centre and train and bus stations, makes it an ideal place to stay whether working, studying, or visiting the city and outlying attractions. Early booking is essential. Minimum two-night stay required.
We have two en-suite rooms, one twin room (two single beds with dimensions of 3' wide [90cms x 190cms] or 6' wide [180cms x 190cms] if made up as a double bed) and one double room (double bed dimensions: 4'6"x6’3” [135cms x 190cms]). We also have a single room which is not en suite. Single occupancy of a room is possible, particularly for longer stays. Our en-suite rooms are light and centrally-heated. They each have a flat-panel television, a radio/alarm, an iron, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. Free wi-fi.
There is a self service breakfast available in the morning. Guests may occasionally use the fridge and microwave to store food or heat up a simple meal.
For guests who wish to stay for a week or longer we are happy to do their laundry at no extra cost (once a week).
On arrival, guests are provided with a key to the house, allowing them free access to the house at any hour.
